The Heart of Praying

''To sing is to pray twice.' - by St. Augustine

I hardly see myself praying in words now. It almost seems like praying is like breathing in and out of air, taking stewardship of daily time and energy, eating more vegetables over meat, and most favorite part, singing!

Due to my coursework in biology and Canadian history, I have to do lots of reading and writing to generate reasoning from the intellect. It becomes drier, especially when it comes to the day that I forgot to do my morning prayer before heading for my breakfast!

I also love to say rosary when I'm on my way taking the bus from home to school. I want to make sure that I spare enough time with God and my private self, so that I can help God to help others. It is almost an intimate relationship that changes the every thought and word that I do! My whole self is alive for the glory of God!!

I'm delighted to have taken a break from full-time work in August and September to rejuvenate my spiritual life! I feel more connected with everyone and everything, when I no longer have a tired body and mind for laborious tasks. My new goal is to work on the new home from now till Nov through my daily prayers! =)

It is very important to pray individually, as well as to pray with other people! The power of prayers can turn from darkness to light, from war to peace, from sorrow to joy, from depression to hope! As my friend, Mildred, says, "God awakens all my senses!'

In God alone, I find rest and peace.
