''Christmas is not about the act of gift-giving, but it is the generosity that we give to each other!''
I am very blessed to help with St. Mary's YM and UBC CATSO in caroling this year =)
It is particularly special for me and Horace to host a reunion Christmas dinner for some good, old friends from school/ church!! At first, we wanted to just throw in a birthday surprise, but it ended up a big reunion dinner that gathered back some old friends and renewed our friendship!!!
After resigning my position as a sp/ed kindergarten teacher in Dec, I have started to see the world in a greater perspective! All the kids, all the teachers, all the parents... whom I've encountered shaped me who I am today =) I'm very thankful for what they have brought into my life - I see my regular ed students in a different light! Sometimes, I wish I can do both...
Perhaps God is leading me towards the path of becoming a Catholic teacher as vocation. I just wish that I can become a school psychologist, or a school counselor, so that I can do more and have a greater impact with an older population!! (apart from those aged 6 and below) I'm also growing...
If Christmas is all about 'generosity' and 'charity', Horace and I are definitely the lucky ones who have been able to do what we could for this year's Christmas/ Advent preparation =) We shall celebrate our prayers on Christmas Day Mass!!!
PS. Hopefully, next year, I can be more an active role for my two god-daughters and my sponsored child in Bangladesh! Let this be my family prayer.
