Today, I had a very unique experience with a 4-year old kid!
At singing group time, he was sitting in the front of me with his red circle mat. The deal was that he cannot have the red color, but he can have any other colors. He was bursting into tears when I said that the red circle mat that he attempts to sit on (or already is sitting on) is MINE! He has to learn how to let it go!
He did it very well. He knows that he isn't supposed to have the red circle, but to have other ones. He almost cracked down, but he did so well!!!! I was entertaining him with very funny or exaggerated actions along the song. He has decided that it was fine for me to take the red circle mat away. I took it away very fast too. I cannot waste any minute to make him cracking down.
A person's rigidity can exhibit in various ways! This is only one of the very interesting example. (apart from my husband's =p!)
