Radio Production

When I was a highschool student, the Career Prep program enrolled me to help with the production of advertisement in a studio close to Broadway. I remember how the voice production was very dynamic with the excellent presentation of a familiar voice in a London Drugs ad! It left me a good memory to be sitting in an enclosed room to record something fun!!

Because of my volunteering at church social teaching activities, I have had opportunities to transcribe tapes into Braille, visit 'big head' babies in the hospital, tutor younger students in public housing, and go to caroling on the streets when I was living in Hong Kong prior to immigrating to Canada. I love my experiences and would never think of relating all of these to my upcoming challenge in participating in the backstage of Chinese Catholic radio program with my husband in research and writing.

Due to my 'anglicized' cultural background, I would hope that my limited contribution to the radio production can continue to cultivate the roots of my Chinese heritage and renew the relationships of my family, relatives, and friends through the message of Christian love, joy, and peace. I was proud that I could write some nice Chinese characters in the past meeting of volunteers to represent the thoughts of the group =) Hopefully, I could integrate my love in music and faith into the writings of many stories of saints, etc. I would also hope that one day I can fulfill the dreams of my mother to become a Catholic teacher!
