What does it mean to stay fit?

Recently, I have been working out in a gym and trying out various ways to better tune in my workout style.

One of my favorite ones at gym are aerobic running machine, ab scultor, gym ball, and yoga.

Thanks to my fiancee for getting me a gym membership. This is exactly what I asked for! Sometimes, it becomes a lonely chore when I just go without a specific fitness goal in mind.

I also really like the personal trainer program, where he/ she guides you through many moves to build up body strength and resiliency. He told me that I need to journal all of my foods in each meal, as well as to eat within an-hour window after each of our session. This is just amazing!

In my first personalized training session, I had to work upon basic position - with 90-degree angle knees and hips, a curved back, and a straight spine. I need to hold it, jump and hold it (be it in the middle position, plus left and right positions), and gradually make these postures going deeper. I also was working with a half-gym ball and a full-size gym ball to strengthen my mind in holding my basic position, in the middle, then to the sides. I also had to pull a stick to work on my ab muscles in 180-degree motion. Towards the end, I had to walk in a straight line in basic position. This is an amazing workout! Of course, by closing my eyes, I had to think deeper and laugh at my mistakes when I see them after opening eyes! :)

At the end, I had a great stretching routine done with my trainer pushing all my joints and teaching me which muscles are to be stretched. I really like to learn about this and hopefully develop good exercising habits to continue staying fit!

I have to remind myself not to curve my back, keep my sternum up, and work upon the strength of pelvis (aka. hip bones), as well as building muscles (lean mass) to replace excess body fat around the waist. This is such a big goal!!!!!

I hope to achieve this fitness goal before taking my wedding photos in Mar :)
